Poco Gardens

watercolor tomatoes and black-eyed Susan in vase by Ed Peterson

Poco Gardens is a labor of love for us. When we’re not talking about real estate, we’re talking about the garden. Poco Gardens has become bigger than we thought it would when we started 13 years ago. This blog is a space for us to share the experiences and knowledge we’ve gained over the years growing our own organic vegetables and herbs on our standard suburban lot (.25 acre), 30 miles southwest of Chicago, not too far off the grid. We’ll also let you know what we’ll have available to purchase, and will share other homesteading habits we’re allowed to appreciate through our home-based businesses.
